DESIGN THESIS 2009 | ETO
The entire concept behind ETO is based on a non for profit concept that is in the long process of development. The entire idea is based on Expressway Traffic Optimization short for ETO
(congestion solution concept).
Pavement embedded lights are spaced every 10 meters along lane centerlines, that would publicly signal each driver's optimum speed and spacing. Lights indicating to the approaching driver their headway: early/ok/late, according to the time their vehicle currently consumes, traveling the distance from their front bumper to the next front bumper. ETO needs no special vehicle equipment; guides every drive, regardless of vehicle type.
The visual concept for my thesis is aimed to create a brand identity for ETO and make it visually pleasing to the public. One main issue was to create a concept that would grab people's attention and make them aware so that's why the bright colours which incorporate the same light colour that is used for ETO. The entire package of my thesis includes a hand made thesis process book, buttons (packaging), posters, stationery, screen printed sweater and t-shirts and their packaging.
